Can a flannel blanket be a bed sheet? Is there any downside?
Feb 20, 2023
Flannel blankets cannot be used as sheets. When used as a bed sheet, it has the disadvantages of not absorbing sweat and breathable, easily generating static electricity, and the fluff is easy to get dirty.
1. Not sweat-absorbent and breathable
The flannel sheets made of chemical fiber have the defects of poor air permeability and poor sweat absorption. If people were cold and sweaty when they went to bed on a winter night, sleeping on flannel sheets would be warm and damp and uncomfortable.
2. Easy to generate static electricity
The weather in winter is relatively dry. If you use flannel sheets, it is easy to generate static electricity. Because the domestic flannel is not made of natural wool, the main material is chemical fiber nylon, so the problem of static electricity is not easy to overcome.
3. The fluff is easy to get dirty
Flannel sheets have longer fluff, so it is very easy to retain gray matter and dirt. Therefore, they need to be washed more frequently than ordinary sheets, and they should also be dried frequently, otherwise they may cause skin discomfort.
